Black History Month for Sensory Learners

Black History Month for Sensory Learners

Black History Month started in the UK in 1987 in response to the lack of information about the accomplishments of black people available to the public.

As educators, it is of crucial importance that we use this month in particular to put a spotlight on this missing history to embed a culture of equality in your classrooms, your school, your local community and beyond. Incorporating Black History Month into learning environments is a powerful way to enrich the educational experience of children, providing them with a broader understanding of the world and it’s diverse history.

But how can this look for high support needs sensory classes?
