Welcome to my "Ask Me Anything" blog post series!
I answer lots of questions on my social media channels, and it makes sense to share this information (anonymously!) in case it is useful for others, too.
"Hello, do all of your children engage with sensory circuits? I’ve got some who aren’t yet ready to engage in these types of activities. How do you start to get them participating?"
No, they don’t. For some, they have physical disabilities, so we use massage and physio to meet these needs instead. For the rest, we do three deep pressure squeezes down the arms after any alerting activity they naturally do (swing, etc). This helps them focus and be ready to come inside.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know.
*I am not a doctor or medical professional, so for some questions, you might want to contact your GP, the National Autistic Society, or the NHS.
