Welcome to my "Ask Me Anything" blog post series!
I answer lots of questions on my social media channels, and it makes sense to share this information (anonymously!) in case it is useful for others too.
"What do you advise if the child tries to grab the objects from the bucket?"
You start 2 meters away from the children with a clear divide of a shower curtain or equivalent between you. You put the lid on and place the bucket out of sight behind you as you explore the toys, the supporting adults model sitting and attending. If they are engaged and not distracting, just carry on. Keep stage 1 at a good pace, less than 2 minutes. Get to the action, then change and move on.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know.
*I am not a doctor or medical professional, so for some questions you might want to contact your GP, the National Autistic Society, or the NHS.
